OUR ETHOS

The ethos of Wilder Flowers arose from Jo’s background as a flower gardener and botany nerd.

Gardening can illuminate the relationships between land, soil, water and animals very clearly, and the love and care one feels for each plant started from a seed is such a beautiful reminder of the value of each lovely bloom.

The endlessly evolving siren song of new color palettes, new flower juxtapositions and the joy of creating beauty guides our work and our aesthetic with each design.

COMMITMENTS

We source our flowers locally and organically whenever possible. We grow some rare, unique blooms that are tucked in to elevate the most special flower moments.

We do not use floral foam- a toxic, single-use plastic product used extensively in wedding floral design, which generates hundreds of pounds of waste per average event, and ends up as micro-plastics in the ocean and in our blood.

We hope our practices allow you to feel good about your choices, knowing your wedding floral designs are non-toxic, non-wasteful and will go back to feed the soil after they have been enjoyed.
